Noel Streatfeild's Ballet Shoes: A Review by Gisela!

When Professor Brown adopts Pauline, Petrova, and Posy Fossil only to disappear and leave them in the care of his niece, money becomes scarce. They're sent to a stage school to learn the art of acting and dancing in order to earn money as actors and dancers. But are they all cut out for it? Will they earn enough money? Will Professor Brown ever return to provide for them? Read this book to find out. Noel Streatfeild brilliantly brings the characters to life in order to tell this story. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys acting and dancing, and anyone who wishes to step out of their own life and into another. - By Gisela

You know that saying "Don't judge a book by its cover"? Well, I hate to admit it, but sometimes I do let it influence me. And I would tend to veer away from pink books. But reading your review of Ballet Shoes makes me think I should give this one a second chance!

I own this book, and I got it in like 1st grade. I received it because I am a ballet freak. It looked interesting, so I started it. I found that the beginning was quite boring, so I stopped.
A year later, I decided to read past the first chapter. It was really good and I finished it! I recommend the other books by Noel Streatfeild to be amazing rather than this one. Still, it is not too bad because I can relate to the story....
